17th C Larege Swatow Overglaze Plare |

| This
swatow overglaze plate is in excellent condition. There is no major
chip, crack. No restoration. It rings when struck. However, there is
glaze degradation. There are also sand adhered to the edge of
the base and the back of the mouth rim The painting on the
plate is abstract art. There is actually a mountain painted on the
centre of the plate. For those who knows how to read Chinese
characters, there is a Chinese character "SHAN" or
otherwise known as mountain, painted on it. For details, please
refer to the photo.
It is unusual and very hard to find such a big Swatow plate with this kind of excellent condition. It is really a collector's item! Date : Circa 17th C |
